Library Rules

1.       All students and staff of the school are members of the library.

2.       A student can borrow only two books at a time for a period of two weeks.

3.       Reissue of books by a user may be allowed maximum twice after the first issue.

4.       If the student fails to return the book after two successive reminders, it will be considered as lost and the cost of the book will be recovered. In case of rare/out of the print book two times of the original cost will be recovered from the student.

5.       Books will be issued to students during library period only.

6.       The Librarian may call for a book at any time, even if the normal period of loan has not expired.

7.       A staff member can borrow maximum five books (other than textbooks) at a time for a period of one month.  Fine @ Rs.1/- per day will be charged on overdue books.

8.       Marking, underlining or writing on library books, periodicals and newspapers is strictly prohibited.

9.       Reference books and current periodicals will not be issued to any member. Only back issues of the periodicals will get issued.

10.    Do not reshuffle the books on the shelves.

11.    Eating, sleeping and drinking are not allowed in the library.

12.    In case of book is misused, wrongly handled or lost, user will have to replace the book or pay the current market price.

13.    Newspapers should be placed back at their respective places after consultation.

14.    Do not temper with the computer settings.

15.    A ‘No dues certificate’ is to be obtained by user from the librarian while his/her transfer/withdrawal from the library.
